Pyrite, known commonly as “Fools Gold,” is a warming and grounding stone, due to its chemical composition FeS2 (Iron Sulfide); the iron provides a grounding effect, while the sulfur content offers a warming energy. Daoist Stone Medicine (DSM) regards Pyrite as a “calming” stone, due to its warming characteristics and ability to move energy. Pyrite’s yellow energy has a common affinity with the Earth element in Chinese Medicine, which is associated with the Stomach and Spleen, making it a great stone to aid in digestion. Pyrite emanates strong yellow vibrations on Universal Vibrational Spectrum, indicating the following qualities:
Energizes muscles, intestines, and digestion
Initiates processes, multiplies, grows
Cheering; Illuminates emotional issues through thinking, stimulates mental activity
For Prosperity, DSM recommends placing a specimen in the same drawer as the user’s checkbook/debit cards
Cautions: Due to its iron content, Pyrite will corrode (oxidize) when exposed to moisture or sweat. We recommend not wearing Pyrite jewelry directly on the skin, and not placing palm stones on the body for extended periods of time. Store Pyrite in a cool, dry place, when not in use.
